Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate accounting professional to help with revenue recognition. You must have a strong and well-versed understanding of ASC 606.  You are great at employing tact when communicating with others, and pride yourself at not letting things fall through the cracks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review customer contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policies, ASC 606 and GAAP
• Key contributor in the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions and the completeness of financial statements
• Works closely and helps manage transactions with the billing, deal desk teams and other stakeholders in the business
• Be the lead on gathering contract support for annual audit
• Support the Product team with new item creation to ensure proper revenue recognition
• Work towards becoming the subject matter expert on revenue and ASC 606
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and processes related to revenue
• Read and understand new customer contract terms we may encounter as part of acquisitions
• Maintain company ASC 606 memo
• Preform ad hoc projects including implementation of new systems and standards
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3 to 4+ years of revenue accounting experience or similar role
• Strong communication (written and verbal), organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, capable of working independently and within a team
• SaaS experience in a publicly traded company is strongly desired
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral
• Public company experience with SOX and CPA preferred
• Public Accounting experience preferred
• Software or SaaS company experience is required
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced hands-on environment required
• Understanding of financial accounting and reporting under U.S. GAAP and SOX 404(b) compliance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software applications
• Experience with NetSuite and Blackline applications is highly desirable
• Inquisitive with a sense of humor preferred!

Salary range of $104,000 - $146,800. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
