The Senior Director, Commercial Finance provides strategic, forward-thinking financial and decision support to enable achievement of the company’s business performance targets. This role owns the end-to-end revenue forecasting process and supports all revenue growth strategy initiatives. This role prepares financial modelling, forecasts, trend and variance analysis and supports the monthly business performance review processes. This highly visible role is 100% remote and reports to the Vice President, Corporate Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and finance leadership to the organization, serving as a thought leader and partner to drive the financial framework for the Sales, Services, Channel, and Revenue Operations teams.
- Lead the planning & forecasting activities across all commercial teams, including forecasting, annual operating, and long-range planning.
-Own the revenue algorithm- defining the components of the algorithm, financial modelling of all key drivers, managing the ongoing reporting and management review framework.
-Analyze and make recommendations on quota capacity, sales efficiency, and commissions expense planning for Sales teams. Own all costs to book and costs to serve analytics, GTM ROI analysis, gross margin and contribution margin modelling, capex and headcount planning activities.
-Produce data driven insights and recommendations to deliver on financial commitments, help drive future growth and margin expansion.
-Develop metrics to track team-specific and company-wide trends, identify opportunities, clearly communicate recommendations and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
-Provide the management team with insightful decision support and drive executive level financial analysis.
-Prepare, analyze, and drive critical business insights and performance drivers to create actionable management reporting and dynamic dashboards using key performance indicators.
-Prepare and build industry research & analysis using external industry resources.
Qualifications:
-8+ years of progressive finance and experience. Exposure to SaaS business models is preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Master’s degree is a bonus.
-Anaplan planning tool experience preferred.
-Strong analytical skills with proven proficiency in financial modelling and experience manipulating large data sets from various sources, interpreting data trends, and extracting business insights.
-The ability to listen actively and ask relevant, incisive questions as well as confident, independent thinking that communicates an analytic point-of-view to finance and business partners.
-Experience influencing, training, mentoring and leveraging one’s skills and others to achieve objectives in a cross-functional and matrix organizational environment.
-Customer focused mindset with the energy and desire to effectively collaborate and influence across a large organization; including working with all levels and with remote team members including working and effectively communicating with senior-level business partners.

Salary range of $202,600 - $286,100. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law including geographical location.
