About You:
Do you like a fast paced ever changing maintenance environment? Do you like to solve problems and organize both experimental and certification maintenance programs? If so this may be the job for you. Seeking a Maintenance Leader, Shop Supervisor responsible for the direct supervision of aircraft maintenance including supervising aircraft technicians and working directly on company owned and operated aircraft to achieve the highest level of safety and dispatch. Must be willing to travel on occasion to include internationally.

Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all maintenance and maintenance programing 
    • Ensures that company aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition
    • Ensures that all aircraft inspections, repairs, and component changes are accomplished in a timely manner and in accordance with manufacturers or FAA approved procedures
    • Ensures compliance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service, bulletins, service letters, and applicable federal aviation regulations
    • Ensures all maintenance technicians are trained and current on the types of aircraft for which approved. 
    • Ensures that all maintenance technicians are certificated and supervised according to the requirements specified in the FARs
    • Coordinates with maintenance contracting agencies when maintenance activities are being performed on company aircraft
    • Provides the VP of Flight Operations with the current airworthiness status of the aircraft and the forecasted down times to facilitate maintenance scheduling and ensure timely correction of aircraft discrepancies
    • Maintains a close liaison with manufacturer’s representatives, parts supply houses, repair facilities and the FAA
    • Makes available to maintenance personnel the necessary overhaul manuals, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, and any other required technical data
    • Maintains all necessary work records, logbooks and permanent maintenance records
    • Schedules all maintenance actions, to include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and aircraft modifications
    • Interacts with the appropriate regulatory agencies to maintain the required certifications for all aircraft (e.g. experimental certifications) and own the end-to-end processes for creation and submission
    • Maintains Tool Calibration program
    • Maintains the weight and balance records for all aircraft

Qualifications:

    • A&P Mechanic License 
    • 10 years Maintenance experience with at least 2 in a maintenance control position
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Haves:

    • A&P (IA)
    • Experience in both certified maintenance (part 135 or 145) and experimental maintenance requirements
    • 15 years experience with 5 in a maintenance control or management position
    • PT-6 or other turboprop maintenance course completion
