About You:
Are you interested in embedded software development for autonomous flight control and looking to take part in the development of the technology that truly enhances the world you live in? Would you like to apply the skills you are learning at school to advance the development of this software? If so, you might be a good fit as a software intern on the avionics software team here at Merlin Labs.
The Role:
- Help develop test cases and procedures for model based developed design of flight software through Simulink Test Manager or other scripting methods.
- Use internal procedures and processes to create test cases and steps based on the software requirements to test flight software models and code.
- Document the details of the procedures in Simulink Test or Jama.
- Execute the tests in Software In the Loop mode and on the target hardware.
- Review results and update tests as needed
Qualifications:
- Will have completed sophomore year of bachelors by June 2023 or enrolled in master’s program studying computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or any other engineering major
- Have used MATLAB Simulink as part of a project
- Experience with GitHub, Python, C/C++
Bonus:
- Familiar with embedded software development
$25 - $30 an hour
