About You:

Meticulous attention to detail is crucial, as the role requires thorough and precise aircraft maintenance and inspection. Responsibilities:

    • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on experimental C-208 Aircraft
    • Conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, troubleshooting and diagnosing complex aircraft systems issues, executing repairs and modifications as necessary, 
    • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, collaborating with team members to optimize aircraft availability for experimental flight testing, staying updated on the latest developments in aviation technology and avionics systems, and adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all times.
    • Carry out normal the duties of an A&P including carrying out required maintenance, modification, fault finding and defect rectification on company aircraft, and at times external customer owned aircraft.

Qualifications:

    • Must be familiar with ARINC 615 data loading procedures
    • Must be able to retrieve Non Volatile Memory (NVM) data and decipher A429 labels as well as assist software engineers with debugging code on the aircraft..
    • Assist in general Hanger/Lab activities including maintenance, cleanliness, organization, and equipment calibration.
    • Inspect and test hardware against specifications.
    • Load software and support integration testing of avionics systems.
    • Maintain laboratory, Ground Support Equipment, and Hanger equipment including repairs, and ensure the calibration of the equipment.
    • Work with the engineering team to fabricate and test mechanical components and subassemblies.
    • Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are being followed.
    • Domestic and International travel may be required occasionally.
    • Other tasks in support of Merlin as directed by VP Flight Test Merlin Labs

Nice to Have:

    • Experience with Experimental Aircraft: Prior experience working with experimental aircraft or participation in flight test programs would be beneficial.
    • Advanced Avionics Systems Knowledge: Additional certifications or training in advanced avionics systems beyond basic requirements would enhance qualifications.
    • Familiarity with Cessna C-208 Aircraft or Similar Models: Knowledge of specific aircraft models like the Cessna C-208 or similar types could streamline transition into the role and contribute to effectiveness in maintenance.
