The House Management Department of The Metropolitan Opera oversees all Facility, Performance, and Event Operations in the Opera House. The House Management Administrator provides administrative support to the Director, House Operations and Facility Management and to the Department.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Work with departments company-wide to document, maintain, and distribute a weekly House Management schedule.
    • Maintain House Management Calendar of all activity building-wide.
    • Answer House Management phones and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external callers.
    • Liaise with House Management units to communicate service requests.
    • Handle and direct inquiries from the public.
    • Other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar capacity.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) are critical, along with the ability to work on a team in a detail-oriented workplace.
    • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize are crucial.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Physical Demands

    • This role is fully onsite.
$50,000 - $55,000 a year
