ABOUT THE ROLE

Metric Theory is searching for an SEM Director to help run our growing NYC team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Account Services in NYC, you will lead a team of SEM managers and Account Managers, overseeing their day-to-day work and their overall professional development. As a talented digital marketer yourself, you will also directly manage one large client relationship, guiding digital paid media strategy across paid search, social, and display advertising and overseeing a team supporting execution on those channels.

We are looking for someone with a passion for paid search advertising, well versed in other digital acquisition channels, and a people focused leader who wants to join a fast-growing, fun digital agency that is hyper-focused on client performance and ROI. The ideal candidate is confident in their ability to drive improvements in account performance, but also to manage and develop our awesome talent.

Team Management
• Manage a team of 2-3 Senior Managers and their team members, including Account
Managers and Analysts (total starting headcount 5-10)
• Hire, coach, and grow that team
• Train your team in advanced paid search advertising, multi-channel digital marketing
strategy and client management skills including projections, analytics reporting, etc.
• Focus on personnel development through ongoing feedback, performance reviews and
quarterly 1-on-1s with team members
• Provide support and recognition for your team
• Motivate and guide team to hit quarterly account growth and retention targets

Client and Revenue Oversight
• Serve as the main point of contact and manage the client relationship for one large MT
client
• Generate strong revenue growth from client renewals on your team
• Participate in onboardings, renewal calls, and other important client communications
for your team’s accounts
• Guide overall account strategy, forecasting, and planning
• Serve as a senior sponsor contact for several top client accounts

Compensation commensurate with experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Qualifications

    • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
    • Ideal candidate has 5+ years of agency paid search advertising experience
    • Ideal candidate has directly managed paid search budgets of $200,000+ in monthly ad spend at some point in their career
    • Experience directing strategy for both B2B and B2C digital advertising efforts
    • Experience optimizing accounts based on backend KPIs and CRM data
    • Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business
    • Strong data analytics and strategy background
    • Proven team leadership and minimum of 3 years of management experience
    • Not afraid to get in the weeds, but still also able identify larger direction of the team & digital marketing industry
    • Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to client-side executive teams
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an eagerness to work as a member of a fast-growing team
