Job Summary

MicroVentures, a leading equity crowdfunding platform, is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Fund Management team. The team is responsible for day-to-day fund accounting as well as preparing quarterly and annual reports, investor updates, and applicable tax forms. The ideal candidate is a high-integrity individual with incredible attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and the ability to accel in a fast-paced financial environment.

What you’ll do at MicroVentures:

    • Perform day-to-day fund accounting tasks
    • Fulfill ad-hoc requests for fund and investor data
    • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
    • Prepare fee calculations such as management fees and acquisition fees, verifying that calculations are in accordance with applicable agreements
    • Prepare investor notices, including capital call, fee, and distribution notices
    • Assist in the preparation of applicable tax forms (e.g., Form 1065)
    • Research company performance and prepare quarterly investor updates
    • Participate on special projects related to the fund
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds’ specifications
    • Collaborate with compliance, operations, and executive leadership teams to meet all requirements to the highest standards of quality

What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics
    • At least two years of experience in fund administration, preferably in private equity
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Keen eye for details to identify trends, cause and effects
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once
    • Strategic thinker focused on continuous improvement
    • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
    • Proficiency with Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc.)
