At Mindset Health, we're building hypnosis-based digital therapeutics (therapy apps) to help a billion people improve their health with their minds. Many misconceptions surround hypnosis, but there's extensive and robust evidence showing it's a powerful but underused therapeutic tool [1].

Think guided meditation, but developed by doctors and focused on health outcomes.

In just a few years, we've already helped 100,000+ people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, menopause and smoking addiction (with Nerva, Evia & Finito), have a team of 30 people and have raised tens of millions of dollars from world-leading investors, including King River, Y Combinator, James Beshara, Fifty Years, Giant Leap, Alberts and the Mr Yum & Linktree founders.

Now we're building out our team of Australia's best to help millions of people, and we're looking for our first finance role to help us build out the finance function of Mindset Health ensure we understand how we’re spending, allocating, reporting and managing money - that’s where you come in.

What you'll be doing:

As the Finance Manager in our fast-growing team, you will be responsible for:
- Helping to drive strategy through financial insights, analysis and collaboration with the founders
- Establishing the Finance function at Mindset Health
- Creating budgets & financial models that helps us predict cash flow, revenue, expenses & burn
- Preparing financials & metrics for investor board meetings
- Preparing & publishing accurate monthly financial documents to make sure they meet standard best practices
- Prepare and Lodge the required tax obligations such as your BAS/IAS, Payroll Tax, Workcover, FBT, Income Tax returns 
- Designing & implementing efficient finance operations, including financial controls, approving invoices, processing payroll, managing employee cards etc
- Process Purchase Invoices and AP Payments, and ensure have appropriate controls in place.
- Working Capital Management - suggest different investment opportunities to maximise any surplus funds, and ensure there is a policy/process/controls around this. 
- Managing external bookkeepers & tax accountants
- Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
- Financial Risk Management - Liquidity Risk, FX Risk - working with banking partners, and ensuring controls and processes are in place. 

Who we're looking for:

To thrive in this role and at Mindset Health, you have:
- 3+ years of accounting and finance or financial controller experience
- Degree in accounting, finance or a relevant field
- CPA or CA preferred
- Excellent knowledge of financial planning and analysis
- In-depth understanding of month-end-reporting, preparing financial statements and bookkeeping
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Loves to be hands-on and executing
- Exhibits a growth mindset
