MindTickle’s Accounting team is looking to hire an Assistant Manager for our Revenue accounting team that will be an integral part of our organization working with a distributed team to drive efficiency. The role includes responsibility for deal support, reviewing contracts & providing revenue related guidance during pre-contract stage, active engagement with stakeholders such as Sales, Business Finance Teams, and Legal to ensure revenue recognition concerns are highlighted at contracting stage, closing out deal reviews independently with minimum guidance. 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background of US GAAP Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), Revenue Accounting, and concepts like Deferred revenue, Unbilled revenues, Partnership revenue arrangements, etc. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated and a team player with a working knowledge of US GAAP. 

What’s in it for you?

    • Reviewing the orders booked on daily basis and assessing revenue recognition as per US GAAP (ASC 606), documenting general and order specific terms and recording of Sales Orders (SO) in accounting system. 
    • Preparation of monthly revenue accounting activities, including but not limited to the revenue recognition, preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
    • Preparation of MIS and other revenue related reports
    • Assist in documentation of internal and maintain appropriate revenue policies & procedures and ensure they are applied appropriately. 
    • Performing technical accounting research on ad hoc issues, Guide & coach junior team members 
    • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A and various business owners on policies, processes, and programs to help drive key initiatives and process improvements.
    • Ensuring compliance of revenue controls and timely submission of audit PBCs’
    • Support  ad hoc reporting requests from the business and special projects, as needed.

We’d love to hear from you, if you:

    • Have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent in relevant experience (B.Com / Mcom / MBA, Finance), CA/CPA will be an added advantage, but not mandatory.
    • Have clear Understanding and extensive hands-on experience of 5 -7 years in revenue accounting with the practical application of revenue recognition literature(US GAAP).
    • Have deep knowledge of ASC 606,  Understanding of multi country and multi-currency billing.
    • Have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Are a team player with strong interpersonal skills, Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Have strong Excel skills; with the ability to manipulate and digest large amounts of data required.
    • Hold preferable experience in Revenue Reporting at a SaaS company.
    • Have hands-on Experience with ERP systems, including NetSuite and Salesforce a plus.
