We are looking to add an experienced Director, FP&A to our team in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the VP Finance, this role is responsible for financial planning, data analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role will oversee the FP&A team and play a critical role in partnering with key business leaders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads financial reporting function by empowering executive leadership team and company with overall strategy development and decision-making through data, metrics, modeling, and insights.
- Partners with key stakeholders, including the executive team and directors across multiple functions, to understand key operational drivers and optimize financial performance.
- Develops and maintains complex financial models that can be readily adapted to support internal and external stakeholders, with a deep understanding of financial metrics.
- Supports preparation of Board materials and other key deliverables, including quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Owns production of Monthly Management results package and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards strategic goals.
- Drives continuous improvement of revenue forecasting process by developing a streamlined process to pull data from various sources, and by incorporating new ways of approaching forecast in fast-paced environment.
- Leads analysis and reporting of gross margins by product, labour planning, sales commissions, and EBITDA improvement initiatives.
- Coaches and mentors team with an inclusive, values-driven leadership style to foster a high-performance environment, empowering team to deliver high quality work through process alignment, feedback, and development.
Qualifications:
- An experienced and results-driven financial leader with 10+ years of experience (including 3+ years in a management role).
- Strong SaaS and Hardware experience in high-growth environments, with strong knowledge of revenue recognition in this industry.
- Advanced modelling skills, with a focus on accuracy and clear structure.
- Extensive knowledge of finance/accounting systems and experience with database and reporting system implementations.
- Experience with mentoring and empowering direct reports with their career goals and aspirations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey insights through visual charts and key metrics.
- Experience in transactions such as M&A and due diligence would be beneficial.
- A CPA or CFA designation is required.
- Health & safety conscious individual.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
$145,000 - $178,000 a year
The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity. Keeping this mind, the salary offered can be outside of the range posted. We are looking for talented folks at all levels, so please do not hesitate to apply.
