MiSK Initiatives Center (MIC) is the entity of the foundation focusing on community engagement, talent development and incubation of programs in tech and media that can be spinned-off. MIC houses one Shared Services Center and 5 Strategic Business Units (Community Engagement, Innovation, Misk Global Forum, Fellowships, Booster)

Within MIC, the Shared Services Center provides business units specific services and solutions related to PMO, partnerships, human resources, operations, and finance.

As a Purchasing Officer you will be joining the Shared Services team to ensure the responsible and timely procurement of products and services for MIC’s Strategic Business Units, guaranteeing cost effectiveness commensurate with quality and respect of the foundation’s procurement policies and guidelines.

The Purchasing Officer reports directly to the Finance & Operations Director and works closely with all other MIC teams.


    • Defines and implements fruitful sourcing strategies
    • Develops and implements purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
    • Researches potential vendors, compares and evaluates offers from suppliers
    • Negotiates contracts to ensure advantageous terms and recommends execution of contracts for the purchase of supplies, services and equipment 
    • Tracks orders and ensures timely delivery
    • Maintains updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
    • Prepares reports on purchases, including cost analyses
    • Collaborates with other MIC team members to ensure clarity on policies, procedures, sourcing strategies and expectations of the foundation


    • General
    • Saudi national (Female or male)
    • Fluent in Arabic and English (written and verbal)
    • 25 to 30 Years old

    • Education and experience
    • Bachelor in Logistic, Business Administration or relevant fields from recognized institute with demonstrated academic achievement
    • At least 3 years of experience in purchasing and procurement within Saudi Arabia

    • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices
    • Excellent negotiation skills 
    • Hands-on experience with purchasing software
    • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create reports and analysis
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
