Job Purpose
 
To manage the development of a Portfolio of Projects in different stages of development within one distinct Program Are a in order to support Misk achieve one of its key objectives:
·       Identify, develop and nurture KSA’s top leaders
·       Develop professional talent in emerging sectors
·       Enable the launch and growth of youth-led Saudi startups
·       Foster youth-focused organizations and connect KSA youth with the world
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
The responsibilities of the Program Manager include, but are not limited to:
 

·        Develops the program strategy by translating the program area’s strategy into a coherent plan with identified key results and cascading it across the different projects
      Works with Project Managers to define projects that best support business strategy and targets
      Works with Project Managers and Partnership Manager to identify implementation partners
 

      Prepares and recommends the budget for his/her portfolio in alignment to the annual business plan
      Monitors the performance of his/her portfolio against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory results are identified and rectified promptly, and potential results improvement opportunities are capitalized up on
 
 

      Suggests new ideas and projects that Project Managers may manage
      Oversees the development and building of roadmap and work plan for each project in order to understand the activities, timeline, stakeholders involved etc.
      Ensures proper collaboration between relevant Managers and internal/external partnerships as well as other service providers, in order to ensure effective integration and alignment while implementing the initiatives
      Ensures there are proper processes for effective communication both internally and externally, regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, performances etc. in order to ensure information sharing and alignment with the plans and goals of initiatives
      Monitors and evaluates the status of initiatives to identify discrepancies to agreed-upon plans, budgets, timelines etc.
      Leads risk identification, evaluation and development of mitigation plans as appropriate to ensure adequate execution of initiatives
      Acts as an escalation point to resolve issues and overcome challenges on initiatives
      Monitors the performance of the contractors/suppliers to ensure compliance with the agreed contractual terms and conditions.
      During peak time, supports project delivery as needed
 

      Closely collaborates with Business Development team to identify suitable partners to support the delivery of the agreed-upon initiatives
      Monitors the performance and effectiveness of partners and accordingly suggests new and or / removal of partners from the network
 

      Collaborates with Marketing and Communication to ensure the initiatives receive the right level of communication and branding
      Supports in drafting key messages to various marketing and communication campaigns to ensure the messages are customized to suit different stakeholder groups involved
 

        Tracks KPIs to measure the portfolio’s performance and impact
        Suggests ways to adapt programs to improve performance, where needed
        Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate reports, such as project progress and impact, partnerships, etc. to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
 

      Builds and leads a motivated, engaged and competent workforce throughout the section, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback to meet Innovation’s challenges and goals
 

        Recommends improvements to policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective output
        Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices
 


Qualifications
 
    Education
o   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education or any related field
o   Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferable
 
    Language: English and Arabic language skills
 
Experience
 
      At least 8 years in Project Management including at least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
      Must have experience in Entrepreneurship
      Experience with managing a portfolio of projects
      Experience in respective program area is a plus
      Ability to lead and work as a team
      “Doer” – strong track record of implementation-focused work
      Communication skills, both oral and verbal
      Ability to take prompt and effective decisions
