iOS Developer

Office of Innovation and Technology – Programming
The iOS developer is a key member of the Office of Innovation as Misk Schools continues to craft a unique learning environment by creating custom-tailored digital learning experiences to engage students via the Misk Schools OS mobile app system. The iOS developer will oversee all matter of mobile application development for Misk Schools, as well as provide support in areas of teaching and learning where necessary. S/he will oversee the development and implementation of support materials and services for all internally-developed applications and experiences. S/he will direct all communications with outside parties involved in supporting the development of Misk Schools OS mobile app and related learning experiences.

Reports to: Director of Innovation

Project Management
Serve as the lead iOS developer for the Misk Schools OS collection of mobile apps. Conduct all communication with outside developers to keep the Misk Schools OS project within projected time and budget. Ensure all stakeholders are up to-date as project milestones are met.

Software development
Lead all aspects of iOS application development.Participate in the development of student learning activities, in partnership with Misk Schools’ Digital Literacy Coach and the Director of Innovation.Seek out best practices in the development of learning experiences for students, and apply them when undertaking projects in this area.Ensure all development projects meet Office of Innovation policy regarding data security and data management.

Technical Support
Provide level 1 technical support to academic personnel, on occasion, when requested by the Digital Literacy Coach and/or the Director of Innovation.

1- Experience in coding using Xcode platform.
2- Experience in coding using swift language.
3- Experience in UI implementationKnowledge of Software Engineering.
4- Knowledge of databases and Object-Relational Mapping.
5- Knowledge of coding languages (C++, Java, JavaScript).
6- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science from an accredited university.
7- Advanced degree (completed or in progress) in a related field is desirable.
8- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the design and execution of software development projects.
9-Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
10- Strong oral and written communications skills, both in Arabic and in English.
11- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.Well-organized.
12- Good sense of humor :)
