Speech Language Pathologist - Home Health
This is a full time position, working Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
The speech-language pathologist is responsible for implementation of standards of care for speech language pathology services and builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts evaluations to assess speech/language function and the home environment, identifying equipment and communication aid needs as appropriate.
- Develops and administers individualized treatment plans using specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment to address functional speech/language deficits.
- Collaborates with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care, participating in case conferences and relevant meetings as needed.
- Instructs patients, families/caregivers, and healthcare personnel on treatment plans and speech-language therapy techniques.
- Refers patients/families to other services based on identified needs.
- Maintains clinical competency in speech-language pathology practices and supervises home health aides as applicable.
- Completes documentation and submits notes per agency policy; meets productivity expectations and performs other duties as needed to support care delivery.
Position Qualifications:
- Possesses a degree which includes an internship from an approved Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology, or as required by applicable law and/or regulation.
- Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Is certified to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
- A minimum of one year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Possesses and maintains current BLS Hands On CPR certification.
$45 - $50 an hour
