The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day administration of Mission Healthcare’s benefits offerings to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits, sick and vacation leave, 401K, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and all other eligible leaves of absences. In addition, this role includes supervising a benefits coordinator within the Corporate Service Line.

Remote/WFH position, must reside in one of the followings states we are registered in:
Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia.

Responsibilities

    • Manages and oversees all employee benefits programs and the relevant laws/regulations that govern them, including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, 401K, COBRA, ERISA, ACA, flexible spending accounts and 401K benefits.
    • Supervise the benefits coordinator in executing day-to-day tasks related to benefits administration.
    • Manages and oversees all employee Leave of Absence programs and the relevant laws/regulations that govern them, including FMLA, LOA, ADA, and all other protected Leaves of Absences.
    • Overall coordination and execution of benefit orientation process with new employees
    • Coordinates with Payroll and Accounting for continuation of benefit deductions premiums during LOA
    • Creates periodic compliance and reconciliation reporting within Paylocity/Bswift.
    • Completes monthly and annual audits, ensuring compliance with ACA, notice distribution, non-discrimination testing, as well as any internal reviews of benefits plans & deductions.
    • Responds to employee inquiries and/or claims assistance, in a manner that remains compliant with local, state, and federal laws, while providing excellent customer service at every interaction.
    • Responsible for coordination and facilitation of annual Open Enrollment process.
    • Collaborate with Compensation Manager, Director of HR Operations and Payroll department to oversee and audit the 401(k) program.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Human Resources certification preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years preferred.
    • Knowledge of employee benefits programs and the relevant laws and regulations that govern them, including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, COBRA, ERISA, FSA, HSA, & 401K
    • Knowledge of FMLA, LOA, ADA, and all other protected Leaves of Absences
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex benefit concepts in an understanding and empathetic manner.
    • Ability to handle confidential matters and information with the highest level of discretion.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Prioritize daily issues, tasks, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Comfortable working independently; self-starter with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
$69,800 - $104,600 a year
