The Creative Lead, APAC plays a key role in Mistplay’s marketing operations in APAC regions (South Korea, Japan, and China). The position’s primary objective is to lead creative excellence on a local level and publish marketing collateral that engages with local audiences while seeking to achieve strong performance marketing metrics.

The role sits within Mistplay’s APAC organization and works in tight collaboration with the global Marketing Department and Creative Director. This person will collaborate closely with the User Acquisition team, live ops team, and other business partners.

What you'll do at Mistplay:

    • Lead a team of artists and manage external agencies to achieve creative performance of our APAC user acquisition campaigns and other marketing initiatives (including B2B marketing, user engagement, PR & events, and social media).
    • Oversee the strategy, tactical planning, and operational playbook of APAC design projects accounting for the creative testing pipeline, daily operations, research, and compliance.
    • Manage and create design processes and infrastructure to drive efficiency of output and instill a data-driven mindset across all members of the team.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish benchmarks, meet performance goals, and ensure timely deliverables of requested assets.
    • In collaboration with marketing teams, analyze the performance of creatives across acquisition and other marketing channels to guide the creative strategy
    • Drive fully culturalized innovation across the Design team to produce “thumb-stopping” creatives that help Mistplay achieve a market-leader presence in the eyes of consumers and clients. 
    • Ensure overall quality of creative output including standardized formatting, conformity to legal guidelines, and active critique and approving of assets.
    • Stay professionally up-to-date on current mobile marketing culture, social media, mobile gaming, competitor, and cultural trends. Integrate relevant learnings into Mistplay’s design strategy and creative output.

What you'll bring to Mistplay:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in advertising in the mobile industry, including experience in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary designers with a performance-driven approach.
    • Preferred degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, rooted in art, design, and/or digital media.
    • Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) relating to video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design.
    • Strong capability to translate campaign KPIs and A/B test results into actionable creative optimizations that fuel greater performance at scale.
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various technical & business teams to ensure business needs are met through creative asset production. 
    • Proven success in creating a team environment of high engagement & performance through curated training & mentorship, leading to the professional development of your designers.
    • Strong organizational & prioritization skills providing the ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines effectively.
    • Strong communication skills you leverage in both presentation & relationship building settings throughout various levels & functions of the organization. Professional working proficiency in English is required.
