Role Summary:
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will play a critical role in expanding Mistral’s adoption within a key account. You will own the full sales cycle and work closely with technical, legal, and implementation teams to ensure successful deployment and long-term customer value.
This role focuses on building deep, trusted relationships with strategic accounts, maximizing revenue opportunities, and positioning Mistral as the preferred AI partner
What you will do:
Business Development & Account Growth
- Identify, engage, and develop strategic accounts through outbound efforts and qualified inbound leads.
- Drive tailored conversations with accounts where upsell or expansion opportunities exist.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities within assigned territories.
Customer Value & Proof of Concept
- Guide customers through evaluations or proof-of-concept phases, ensuring a clear demonstration of value.
- Translate successful pilots into long-term, revenue-generating partnerships.
Sales Execution
- Own the end-to-end sales process for assigned accounts, including prospecting, solution presentation, and closing.
- Coordinate across product, engineering, and legal teams to align on deal structure and execution.
- Lead negotiations with customers, ensuring both customer satisfaction and alignment with Mistral’s objectives.
Relationship Management
- Build strong, lasting relationships with decision-makers and influencers, including heads of innovation/AI and business unit leaders.
- Understand account-specific challenges and tailor Mistral’s solutions to their needs.
Technical Engagement
- Develop a solid understanding of Mistral’s products to confidently lead technical conversations.
- Partner with customer engineering and implementation teams to resolve questions and ensure smooth onboarding.
Internal Enablement
- Share customer insights with internal teams to influence product roadmap and priorities.
- Support marketing and product initiatives with account-level feedback and success stories.
Who you are:
- 10+ years’ experience in strategic or enterprise sales, ideally in consultative selling of complex or technical products.
- Strong academic background (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Computer Science, or related field).
- Experience in AI, data, or infrastructure ecosystems is a strong plus.
- Track record of success in a fast-growing startup or innovative tech environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to lead solution-oriented discussions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Dutch required;
