Data Scientist - Product Insights

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our growing team at Mistral AI. 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and statistical modeling, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. 
As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and product managers on the following:

- Build or implement the relevant tools to improve our understanding of our users and usage of our services 
- Develop and apply machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data mining techniques to extract valuable insights from large and complex datasets.
- Design and implement end-to-end data science projects, from data collection and preprocessing to model building, evaluation, and deployment.
- Analyze the usage of our products (including lechat) in order to improve them based on observed usage
- Build cohort analysis to understand user behaviors and answer some key questions related to usage; churn,..
- Study causal association between usage & retention rate and Identify features that lead to increase retention of our users 
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies  
- Design and implemented data quality controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of data  
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in clear and concise reports and presentations  
- Develop data-driven insights to identify opportunities to improve the product or build new products
- Propose, design, and analyze large scale online experiments
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners identify opportunities for largest business impact

- Minimum 3 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent.
- Experience in experimental design and analysis, exploratory data analysis and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets, including data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation.
