The Residential Scholars program offers a dynamic live-in experience tailored for both visiting and permanently appointed MIT faculty members. Positioned within Simmons Hall, New House, Maseeh Hall, and New Vassar, this initiative serves as a bridge between faculty and students, enriching the campus community with a diverse range of life experiences and academic pursuits.

The program's mission has a dual purpose: to foster meaningful interactions between faculty and residential students, and to provide faculty members with insights into the passions, intellect, and dedication of MIT undergraduates. By facilitating these connections, the program aims to cultivate a vibrant atmosphere of collaboration and mutual understanding, nurturing a shared commitment to shaping a brighter future.
