MMI Agency is looking for a Digital PR Director to join our Public Relations team with a passion and drive to understand and shape conversations between consumers and brands. The Digital PR Director will be required to manage and lead several Managers on the Digital PR team. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands on, possess a tireless work ethic and strong project management sensibility.

Applicants should have an advanced knowledge of social media trends and technology as well as how these can be used to identify and build relationships with best-fit influencers. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of the evolving digital landscape with a proven track record of developing and executing multi-platform paid, owned and earned social media programs at scale. Applicants should have a firm understanding of how strategic influencer marketing can deliver highly effective, creative and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

    • Support the success of the practice by ensuring best in class standards are met and applied to client work
    • Provide POVs on relevant trends and topics to help establish industry recognition for MMI
    • Support Group Director in new business efforts by providing insights and strategy to develop winning pitches
    • Create and sustain an encouraged learning environment for all things related to digital public relations in order to stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies and techniques
    • Support Group Director’s vision of professional development by managing and mentoring junior members of the team
    • Develop and manage influencer plans, ambassador programs, brand contests and sweepstakes, and digital and/or social promotions
    • Use quantitative and qualitative data to understand customer behavior and apply those insights to client engagements
    • Establish success metrics and measurement of engagements that align results with client objectives
    • Manage and expand MMI’s network of bloggers and influencers
    • Experiment with new ways to leverage influencers to achieve client goals
    • Craft quality proposals, presentations, pitches and/or reports
    • Excellent writing and storytelling ability, likely honed from previous PR / communications experience
    • Work across functional teams to drive powerful consumer experiences that are seamless both online and offline
    • Stay abreast of FTC guidelines and maintain compliance of programs
    • Write influencer POVs and contribute to agency’s thought leadership
    • Provide career and development planning for the team along with day-to-day guidance and oversight
    • All other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

    • Minimum of eight years as a public relations professional – preferably working with or for an agency
    • Minimum of two years of experience effectively managing teams and inspiring them to deliver their best work
    • At least two years of experience managing online influencer/brand ambassador programs, ideally for large, national, consumer-facing brands
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to distill, synthesize and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
    • The ability to think strategically and execute tactically
    • An aptitude for being organized, flexible and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience developing and managing a team of cross-functional marketers
    • Willingness to travel on occasion for client meetings
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
