MMI is looking to add a strong Web Strategy Director to our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is hands on and has a proven track record of developing senior-level client relationships while consistently growing accounts. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to plan and strategize at a high level while directing teams working cross-functionally within an organization. This role requires a background in programming, front-end development and/or UX experience in order to facilitate technical conversations and manage timelines and deliverables.

Responsibilities

    • Build and grow positive client relationships as well as existing book of business
    • Provide strategic marketing leadership to both client and internal teams by leveraging integrated marketing knowledge to make decisions and ongoing recommendations
    • Proactively identify client needs and generate innovative ideas and solutions
    • Study and stay current on client’s product, business culture, competition, target audiences as well as the marketing industry
    • Direct the daily activities of the assigned account team
    • Lead the collaboration with other agency departments
    • Review key materials prior to presentation to client
    • Represent the agency at various industry functions, when necessary
    • Support new business efforts by providing assets and metrics to develop winning pitches that ensure the sustainable growth of the agency 
    • Create and sustain an encouraged learning environment for all things creative, social, digital and mobile in order to stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies and techniques 
    • Support Group Director’s vision of professional development by mentoring junior members of the team 
    • Ensure client work is compliant with agency process and deliverable standards 
    • Ensure proof of performance is being continuously met across the practice portfolio
    • Stay abreast of integrated agency and IT reviews best practices and apply them
    • Meet the standards for quality and assurance of projects

Requirements

    • Minimum of five years as a technical professional – preferably working with or for an agency or similar in the technical industry 
    • Strong management and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to plan and strategize on high-level integrated initiatives
    • Willingness to travel for client meetings
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Well versed in common marketing & media principles with a strong understanding of creative and media across major digital and social channels
    • Knowledge of the concepts of Analytics, SEO, SEM and Social Media marketing within end-to-end digital strategies
    • Direct programming, front-end development and/or UX experience
    • Agile and/or Kanban project management experience a plus
    • Understanding of digital technologies and user experience methodologies 
    • Superior written and interpersonal communication skills (sample may be required)
