Revenue Accounting & Operations is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Revenue Analyst to be a critical player in the order to cash (OTC) process starting with the opportunity stage.  Reporting to the Associate Director of Revenue, your responsibilities will include all financial aspects related to customer contracts. In addition, the job entails the monthly and quarterly revenue close process, journal entries, account recons, and audit compliance.  There are also ad-hoc reports, flux analysis, analytical projects, with periodic process improvements and system enhancements.

Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with Deal Desk and Legal teams to align deal structures with billing and revenue recognition policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across the business.
    • Engage with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue treatment throughout the renewals process.
    • Review, interpret, and summarize customer agreements to ensure accurate revenue and billing outcomes.
    • Book sales orders and generate invoices in NetSuite with precision, supporting a seamless order-to-cash process.
    • Drive monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
    • Provide insightful analysis on deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and COGS to inform quarterly business reviews.
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support revenue forecasting, variance analysis, and other strategic initiatives.
    • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring financial reporting integrity and SOX compliance.
    • Work with Finance, Marketing, and Operations to develop and implement revenue-enhancing strategies that align with company goals.
    • Support and influence system implementations and enhancements (e.g., NetSuite, OpenAir, SFDC, BI tools).
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate workflows, and scale revenue operations for growth.
    • Stay informed on emerging AI tools and explore their application to optimize revenue processes and analytics.

Requirements

    • 3-5 years Revenue Accounting experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • ASC 606 experience required (Accounting Standards Codifcation for Recognizing Revenue from Customer Contracts)
    • Advanced Excel proficiency
    • NetSuite, Open Air, SFDC knowledge a plus
    • SaaS and software industry experience preferred
    • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with various functions
    • Self-Starter with a positive attitude
    • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and meet deadlines
    • Proactive approach to problem solving, attention to detail, and follow-through
    • Excellent communication skills
