We're seeking an exceptional BI leader to establish and scale Model N's centralized business intelligence function from the ground up. This high-impact role will report to the VP of Finance and partner closely with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team. You’ll play a critical role in advancing our BI strategy, infrastructure, and operating model to support self-service analytics, improved data literacy, and enterprise-wide performance visibility.

Responsibilities:
 
BI Foundation & Strategic Leadership
-   Lead the evolution of Model N’s BI function by establishing scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and standardized reporting aligned with business goals.
-   Partner with IT to enhance BI infrastructure and data architecture, while enabling greater business ownership of analytics workflows and insights.
-   Define and execute a forward-looking BI roadmap, including consistent metrics definitions, analytical methodologies, and data quality standards.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into data solutions and deliver insights that inform decision-making.
 
Operational Excellence & Team Development:
-   Enhance existing dashboards and reporting assets; design new solutions that support scalable, self-service analytics.
-   Implement SLAs, operational procedures, and automation to improve efficiency and data reliability across the organization.
-   Build and lead a high-performing BI team—recruiting top talent and establishing career paths, development plans, and performance frameworks.
- Drive adoption and data literacy through training, change management, and strong business partnerships that deliver measurable impact.
 
Qualifications:
 
Experience & Industry Knowledge
-   Minimum 8 years of progressive BI and analytics experience, including 5+ years leading technical teams and driving organizational change.
-   Proven track record of scaling or transforming BI capabilities within mid-size or enterprise environments.
-   Enterprise software or SaaS industry experience preferred with understanding of subscription business models and revenue operations.
 
Skills:
-   Power BI expertise required: Advanced proficiency in Power BI including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and administration.
-   Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, SQL Server, Excel).
-   Exceptional communicator with strong executive presence; able to translate technical concepts into business insights.
-   Collaborative, resourceful, and passionate about enabling better decision-making through data.
 
At Model N we offer fair, equitable and competitive salary ranges for all positions. Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
