Where we need help:

Modern Animal is looking for a Social Media Manager to help bring our story to life and engage with our customers. You will be responsible for crafting and evolving Modern Animal’s social media presence and growing the world of Modern Animal. 

What does the job entail?

-Work closely with the Head of Brand to develop a channel strategy across all platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
-Create weekly and monthly social calendars and execute against them, nudging the brand forward with each moment
-Provide weekly social media reporting across growth and engagement KPIs; share learnings and optimize
-Generate content to be published - both behind the camera and in close collaboration with teammates
-Develop and produce concepts for new programming, from the creation of treatments to execution of finished edits
-Lead in-house photoshoots for social content
-Develop fluency in the Modern Animal voice and write compelling copy for social
-Moderate content and help us to learn from our customers
-Collaborate with the Virtual Care team to provide support to customers engaging on social channels
-Ensure medical-related posts are in-line with clinical expectations

What kind of person are we looking for?

-2-4 years of experience in a Social Media / Content Marketing role, ideally at a consumer and/or healthcare brand
-A collaborative, creative go-getter, willing to roll up his or her sleeves
-Strong written skills; impeccable grammar, sharp wit, and an empathy for the consumer
-Personal participation in social media
-Experience working on photoshoots
-Access to something between a nascent and well-established network of creatives

Practical Skills:

-Expert in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
-Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite with an emphasis on photo and video editing
-Strong social copywriting
-Experience using Planoly
