We are hiring our first ever Regional Clinic Leader to help us realize our mission to better the lives of animals by building a place that’s better for all of us who love them. This role will be responsible for ensuring clinical and operational excellence in existing and multiple new Modern Animal clinics in Los Angeles.

The leader in this role will have deep specific expertise developing exceptional veterinary teams, implementing processes with speed, excellent project management and communication skills, and thrive in a cross-functional environment.

In this role, we are looking for a leader who is passionate about pets and the people who love them, and is excited about rolling up their sleeves to bring our mission to life as we grow. This role will require approximately 80% local travel across multiple Los Angeles clinics.

What the job entails:

    • Holding ultimate responsibility for clinical, operational, team sentiment, and client feedback performance at each clinic
    • Leading, coaching, developing, and inspiring clinic leaders and teams, with an open ear and relentless focus on making our clinics the best place to be a veterinary professional
    • Leading and participating in activities that support the well-being of veterinary practitioners by making the profession both joyful and sustainable
    • Partnering with the Veterinary Medicine team to ensure medical excellence, serving as a key resource and partner to the lead veterinarian at each clinic
    • Partnering with the Clinical Operations Services team to enhance, roll-out, and ensure compliance with clinical operating standards within each clinic
    • Partnering with the People team to build and implement infrastructure and processes that enable the ongoing development of future clinic leadership
    • Partnering with the Clinical Operations Services, Real Estate and Development team to evaluate physical clinic space functionality, providing feedback and insight to improve future clinic designs
    • Partnering with Finance and Administration to drive accountability for all operational and financial goals and KPIs
    • Partnering cross-functionally and collaboratively across all other teams internally and externally that support our clinics, building trusting relationships and a cohesive culture

Why you'd be a great fit:

    • 10+ years of veterinary experience, ideally 5+ in a multi-unit operations or leadership role
    • A collaborative go-getter, willing to roll-up sleeves and be hands-on
    • Enthusiasm for thinking outside the box, tackling complex problems, and identifying new ways of doing things
    • Operates with high emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills
    • Understanding of Slack, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Systems
