We are looking for an experienced RF test engineer to help us validate our Radio Frequency ASICs which are integrated into a smart contact lens AR/VR system. You will be part of a larger team designing and building complex systems using a combination of custom ASICs, MCUs, SOCs, FPGA, and other off-the-shelf components. You will be working with systems consisting of wireless data, wireless power delivery, batteries, imaging, real-time video/graphics and high-performance sensors.

Roles and Responsibilities

    • You will be responsible for bring-up and characterization of RFIC’s using RF equipment in the lab such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Analyzers, Signal Source Analyzers, Vector Signal Generators, Vector Network Analyzers, etc.
    • Working with IC and Antenna designers, you will be responsible for performing on-board RF impedance matching from calculation/simulation to component selection and lab measurements
    • Analyze test results and author design verification test reports
    • Automate the measurement set-up using python/C/MATLAB scripts to communicate with the hardware and test instruments and post-process the data
    • Select parts needed to build RF test systems and develop code needed to operate them.
    • Regulatory exposure and emission testing.

Qualifications

    • BS in EE, MS preferred
    • 5+ years of work experience in RFIC validation and testing
    • Hands-on experience with electronics test equipment such as mixed-signal oscilloscopes, multimeters, source measure units, spectrum analyzers, signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, etc.
    • Experience with semiconductor and custom IC characterization & regression tests
    • Programming expertise in Python, C/C++ and MATLAB
    • Working experience with different wireless communication standards such as Cellular, WLAN, Bluetooth, Zigbee, NFC
    • Experience with design and debugging of circuit boards
    • Familiarity with board schematic and layout tools
    • Familiarity with micro-controllers
    • Hands on with creating test infrastructures, test plans and reports
    • Strong analytical skills required
    • Excellent communication skills and technical writing ability

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in using Altium tool suite for PCB design
