We are looking for a Senior HVAC Engineer to join our growing team.  Engineering at Molekule is responsible for developing and manufacturing products featuring our innovative PECO technology. 

You will help build processes, capability, standards, and the foundation for products, to extend our ability to improve air quality to more people around the world.  This is a cross-functional role that combines technology integration, productization, and customer facing relationship development to deliver high quality products and implementations that push the boundaries of what our technology can do.

What You Will Own

    • Leading the design of a revolutionary air purifier
    • Design responsibilities including mechanical, filter, sensor, power, and control components
    • Maintain records, reports and files necessary to accomplish and track job objectives
    • Work with vendors on scoping, planning, and supporting prototype builds
    • Define product requirements based on typical system layout and use cases
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional development, reviewing technical publications, benchmarking best practices
    • Work with vendors on scoping, planning, and supporting prototype builds
    • Evaluate contract manufacturers and work closely with external consultants, and internal engineering team to incorporate DFM feedback and prepare product for small to large-scale manufacturing
    • Analyze test data and work with internal and external partners to design future experiments to show device performance
    • Educate internal sales, marketing, and product teams

What you will bring to Molekule

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
    • Full product development cycle knowledge from setting requirements to mass production
    • Machine shop and laboratory experience working on prototypes and testing
    • Understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes including sheetmetal fabrication and injection molding
    • Understanding of test standards and protocols
    • Capability with diverse CAD tools including Solidworks, CREO, and AutoCAD
    • Experience working with International and Domestic OEM partners
    • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent presentation and documentation skills
    • Experience establishing processes setting standards for best practices
    • Experience working directly with customers and end users
    • Relationship building with sales and marketing teams
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical details to non-technical people
    • Interest in driving innovation through learning, testing, prototyping, and application
