Our team combines specialists in video, lighting, architecture, sound, and special effects to create remarkable experiences. Since its inception in 2001, Moment Factory has created more than 400 unique shows and destinations. Productions span the globe and include such clients as the Los Angeles Airport, Nine Inch Nails, Microsoft, NFL, Sony, Toyota, the City of Barcelona, Madonna, and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
 
YOUR MISSION
 
The Content Technical Director works closely in collaboration with the Content Production team (Directors, Graphic Designers, 2D/3D Animators, Content Coordinators) in order to develop, structure and optimize the technical aspects of content production in the context of a multimedia project. He-she is also in charge of the management and optimization of Render Farm to ensure the delivery of different productions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • 1.     Technical Direction
    • Develop, structure and optimize the content creation pipeline for distribution adapted to different productions;
    • Establish content creation template files (After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc.) in collaboration with Directors, Designers, Animators, Technicians and Integrators to ensure a synergy between the environment, its content and the technology used;
    • Offer technical support and solutions to the Content Production team;
    • Contribute to better existing process and communicate new methods within the department;
    • Link the Content team to Scenography, Information Technology and Innovation Departments for any assigned project;
    • Contribute to develop and optimize the X-Agora system (proprietary software for multimedia playback).

    • 2.     Render Wrangling
    • Participate in Render Farm management in order to obtain optimal efficiency;
    • Manage render requests from the artists, identify rendering issues and suggest solutions;
    • Establish rendering priorities in collaboration with the Content Production team and other Content Technical Directors;
    • Supply an estimate of rendering delays to Producers and Content Production team;
    • Responsible for visual quality control and technical problem solving;
    • Convert videos to required formats corresponding with the chosen technology for multimedia playback

JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • College diploma (DEC) in Multimedia Integration, Postproduction or other related field;
    • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Multimedia, Cinematographic or Televisual Postproduction;
    • Mastering of 2D and 3D animation production process;
    • Excellent knowledge of After Effects and Cinema 4D;
    • Knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Foundry Nuke and Thinkbox Deadline, an asset;
    • Knowledge of Javascript and Python scripting languages, an asset;
    • Professional knowledge of French and/or English languages, oral and written.

    • SPECIFIC WORK CONDITIONS
    • Frequent work outside of regular office hours and occasional travel required.
