The Risk & Compliance team plays a key role in protecting our customers and Moneybox, working closely with other teams to ensure our risk management framework is operating effectively. 

Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key role in the risk team as we mature our framework and methods for identifying, assessing and managing risk. 

What You’ll Do

    • Working closely with the Senior Risk Manager and the rest of the Second Line Risk & Compliance team, you will help Moneybox build a best in class risk management framework. You will be involved in, but not limited to:
    • Enhancing Moneybox’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, reviewing and maintaining relevant policies and procedures.
    • Assisting with risk assessments, including the Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA), scenario and stress testing, providing Second Line interrogation where necessary.
    • Supporting the build-out of an enhanced control environment, providing Second Line assurance where necessary.
    • Advising the business on risk management, providing training and being a point of contact on risk-related matters.
    • Monitoring operational errors and IT issues to identify trends and root causes.
    • Preparing periodic reports and data analysis for the Risk & Compliance Director and relevant committees, including the Board Risk Committee.
    • Supporting production of regulatory deliverables related to Operational Resilience and Capital Planning. 

Experience and Skills

    • Experience in operational risk management in either a First or Second Line role. 
    • Academic background with at least one university degree 
    • A personal interest in finance, law, regulation or risk management
    • Highly numerate, systematic and financially literate
    • Strong communication skills (business writing and listening)
    • Ability to work unsupervised with minimal guidance
    • Fluency in English
