First a bit about the role: 
We’re looking for a Head of Business Development who will be responsible for leading and managing the business development team for Corporate and B2B Sales, to achieve the company's growth targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with existing and new clients and resellers to  manage the sales process to ensure the company's products and services are sold effectively. 

Working for the biggest (and best) gift experience company in the UK you’ll be able to get your hands dirty, building out new projects from the ground up, testing new ideas and initiatives and recommending new products to list. 

This is a role for a self-starter, there is plenty of scope for you to decide on your own direction within a wide-ranging set of core objectives.

A bit more about the role:

    • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to achieve the company's B2B sales growth targets.
    • Lead and manage the Business Development and Lead Generation teams to ensure they are achieving their targets and KPIs.
    • Managing relationships with Resellers and driving growth in new markets.
    • Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential new clients and partners.
    • Develop a team to maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities through outbound lead generation and manage the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities to encourage repeat and continuous business. 
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the market and use this information to inform the company's B2B sales growth strategy.
    • Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as Acquisition, PR, Product & Tech, Finance and Buying, to develop and execute effective sales and marketing campaigns.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote the company's products and services.
    • Provide regular reports to the Leadership Team, Company Check In’s and All Hands on business development activities, progress, and results.

And now about you:

    • At least 5 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of achieving growth targets and building successful teams.
    • Experience in the gifting industry, Rewards and Benefits or a related field is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve their targets and KPIs.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organised.
    • Quick learner with ability to think pro-actively and build solid working relationships with peers.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset.
    • Natural planner, looking ahead, anticipating and escalating issues before they arise, providing solutions, and meeting deadlines.
    • A keen analytical mind, with a willingness to challenge yourself and solve problems.
