About the role
At Greetz, we believe a gift says more when itās personal. As our new Buyer, youāll play a key role in shaping our gifting and flower assortment ā bringing creativity, commercial thinking, and a sharp eye for trends. Reporting to the Senior Buyer & Merchandiser, youāll own the end-to-end buying process, from sourcing standout products to collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams. If youāre data-driven, customer-obsessed, and excited by seasonal peaks and market shifts, this is your moment to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, develop, and curate a commercially successful range of gifts and flowers, aligned with trends and customer needs
- Lead product selection and supplier negotiations, ensuring quality and sustainability standards are met
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, securing exclusives and custom offerings
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, delivery, and ethical standards
- Manage budgets, pricing, and margins to hit profitability targets
- Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and market trends to optimise ranges and performance
- Partner with eCommerce and Marketing on promotional strategies and seasonal campaigns
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure smooth stock flow and availability
- Plan and execute seasonal buying strategies around peak gifting moments like Valentineās Day, Motherās Day, and Christmas
- Contribute to the development of personalised and trend-led product collections
About you:
- Proven buying experience in retail, gifting, or consumer goods
- Commercially sharp with strong data analysis skills
- Excellent negotiator and relationship builder
- Adaptable and proactive ā thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal business
- Customer-focused mindset with a flair for trend spotting
- Experience in e-commerce is a strong plus
