What You’ll Be Doing

You'll work closely with our HSE Manager and the wider team to ensure our Tamworth site operates a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in maintaining and monitoring the H&S Cards system, ensuring all documents are uploaded, in date and relevant.
    • Ensure that all risk assessments, SOPs,SSOW & COSHH for all activities are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and maintain records.
    • Prepare and communicate toolbox talks and safety alerts,Deliver training and record colleague signatures on training sheets – Maintain Training matrix and escalate any training gaps. ManagerHealth and wellbeing promotional campaigns.
    • Oversee H&S  training of Agency colleagues 
    • Ensure PPE compliance and promote best practices amongst colleagues 
    • Chair and update minutes from HSE meetings pursuing closure on actions and escalating where necessary.
    • Manage contractors prior to accessing site, during and on exiting the premises – this would include paperwork, Permit to Works, Defects, equipment suitability and conformity, follow up requirements,site H&S  inductions.
    • Support Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and sharing lessons learned

You'll be a great addition to the team if you:

    • Hold an IOSH qualification and willing to work towards an NEBOSH qualification.
    • Can make decisions and challenges when needed in order to deliver a great customer experience.
    • Can think on your feet and perform under pressure.
    • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Continuously ‘think team’ and promote a positive work environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    • There will be a need to work outside normal working hours on occasion during peak periods

Main Requirements:

    • Have an understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.
    •  ️Have a keen interest in H&S and a willingness to learn.
    •  Ability to work well in a team and engage with colleagues at all levels.
    •  Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
    •  Basic IT skills 
Shift Pattern
Off Peak :Monday - Friday; 11am - 7pm

Peak: 12 hour shifts on a peak rota
