We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our high performing Finance team on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract supporting Greetz.

You’ll be stepping into a key role in our Financial Control team, supporting the Greetz Financial Controller, where you'll take ownership of key elements of our P&L and balance sheet – with a particular focus on gross margin, inventory, and operational performance.

You'll be responsible for key aspects of our financial statements whilst working with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to help deliver accurate and insightful reporting that help drive better business performance.

This is a great opportunity if you’re a hands-on, qualified accountant with a mix of financial and management accounting experience within a commercial finance team, who enjoys making an impact and thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Ownership of key parts of our P&L and balance sheet (including gross margin and inventory management), and the supporting month end processes
    • Responsible for insightful management reporting and accurate financial reporting
    • Partnering with FP&A to develop insightful reporting and analysis
    • Be the go-to person for non-finance colleagues in our operations facilities to help them understand performance
    • Proactively reviewing, challenging and undertaking continuous improvement within your processes
    • Ensuring a robust financial control environment for inventory
    • Coaching and advising non-finance staff on process improvements

About you:

    • Qualified accountant, ACA or equivalent, with at least two years PQE, with solid technical accounting knowledge
    • Have a can-do attitude, an analytical and problem-solving mind-set to understand and challenge ways of working
    • Proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to prioritise workload around deadlines
    • Have excellent Microsoft Excel skills
    • Show great attention to detail
    • Experience within retail, technology and e-commerce industries would be beneficial
    • Comfortable working with and challenging senior stakeholders, including those outside finance
What's in it for you?
