Function:  Financial Control
Reporting to: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: London, Hybrid

What You’ll Be Doing
We’re seeking a Financial Accountant (part qualified) to play an important role within our Financial Control team, reporting into the Senior Financial Accountant and working closely with the wider finance team in London, as well as the rest of the business.

The role has month-end responsibilities, suiting someone with a mix of management and financial accounting experience. This role will also help perform analysis for senior stakeholders to better understand our performance.
The ideal candidate will be building strong analytical and communication skills, have high attention to detail and an ability to manage competing priorities, as well as having a good working knowledge of Excel. We’re seeking someone that has the energy and enthusiasm to help us find and solve issues and improve our processes, files and systems, with us supporting you along this journey all the way.

Moonpig Group has a study support scheme available for accountancy qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Supporting our technology business through intangible stock  accounting, reporting and analysis
    • Producing monthly management accounts including commentary on actuals vs budget
    • Working with the business to improve our processes and workstreams
    • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and owning our financial controls
    • Assisting with and audit preparation and completion
    • Support to various improvement projects, such as streamlining accounting processes, and the roll out of new systems and tools

About You:

    • Part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
    • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to your work
    • An analytical and problem-solving mind-set to understand, challenge and ask the relevant questions
    • Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and high attention to detail
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with senior management & non-finance colleagues
    • Enjoy working in a fast-paced industry
