First a bit about the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trading Planning Manager to join our dynamic team. The Trading Planning Manager will play a critical role in managing our trade plan, optimising discount and promotion strategies, analysing trade performance, and providing insightful reports on trade, market demand, and customer trends. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth and maximising ROI.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage the trade plan, ensuring alignment with company objectives and sales targets.
    • Implement effective discount and promotion strategies to stimulate sales while maintaining profitability.
    • Analyse trade performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer trends and market demand, informing trade activities.
    • Foster close collaboration across cross-functional teams (range, marketing, finance) to ensure alignment and seamless execution of the trade plan.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions and initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximise ROI.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on trade performance, market trends, and insights for senior management review.
    • Stay abreast of industry developments, the competitive landscape, and emerging trends to inform trade planning strategies.

And now about you:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
    • Ideally 7+ years' proven experience in trade planning, sales analysis, or a similar role within the online retail or leisure industries.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis tools (experience with Power BI is a plus).
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
