OVERVIEW
The Senior Vice President, Revenue Operations and Strategy will provide overall leadership, management, development and execution of sales processes and strategies to drive revenue growth for Morning Brew. The SVP will be responsible for managing the day to day of the account operations, pricing & packaging, ad operations, and revenue analytics teams.  Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, the SVP will drive and lead all sales support processes and analytics. We are seeking a leader with deep experience at a direct ad sales business who will be able to optimize current operations, uncover new opportunities and empower each group within our revenue org to be successful in their roles while also driving substantial growth for the business.

For this role, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our Morning Brew HQ in NYC.


HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
- Revenue Strategy Development: Act as a trusted partner to Morning Brew’s senior executives to help set and execute our strategy to drive direct revenue growth and advance operational efficiencies across the organization
- Pricing & Packaging: Help create and constantly optimize pricing and packaging strategies to satisfy the needs to clients and increase their confidence in scaling spend on Morning Brew’s suite of products
- Account Operations & Media Planning: Improve both pre and post sale work streams and infrastructure to more effectively support the revenue organization while developing proper training for account managers including a strong focus on campaign optimization, account retention and upselling opportunities
- Social promotion: Leverage Morning Brew’s first party data to help scale reach and efficiency of branded social campaigns
- Research: Work with Insights & Analytics and Account Ops to optimize the research and analytics provided to our advertising partners, including existing ad campaign performance as well as insights on the Morning Brew portfolio 
- Business Intelligence: Work with Analytics & Insights to provide key performance metrics to the executive leadership team as well as the sales team concerning account performance, pipeline management, opportunities/risks, and brand/product performance
- Forecasting and Business Planning: Oversee revenue planning and goaling while developing accurate revenue forecasts to help identify and size existing and new business opportunities
- Account Strategy: Create, develop and maintain the account planning processes in collaboration with sellers that will provide business reviews, market opportunities, risks, and areas of focus in order to optimize revenue planning 
- Cross-team collaboration: Lead and promote collaboration with the marketing, edit, and finance orgs to achieve our business goals
- Training: Develop training processes that will continuously improve the Revenue Operations team as well as the advancement of individual team member’s careers
- Guide and develop an impact-driven and innovative revenue operations team that embraces data-driven decision making

QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep experience working with “non traditional” media products that are sold directly to partners - including newsletters, podcasts, events, social, custom content, and multiple formats of video content
- At least 12 years of digital media experience and at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Proven success creating and driving social promotion strategies within a similar media organization
- Demonstrated success working in a revenue operations leadership function that has created material sales growth, even during challenging times for the overall media landscape
- A deep appreciation of 1st party data and owned audiences, as well as B2B publishing and marketing best practices that can be applied to the professional side of our business
- Excellent cross-functional collaborator who is able to move quickly and drive results in a matrixed environment 
- Strong executive communicator with a proven ability to build buy-in for recommendations across all departments and levels of the organization
- Exceptional analytical skills that help make data-driven decisions and recommendations   
- Ability to understand and successfully take charge of difficult organizational problems and to formulate/drive appropriate solutions
- The ability to strategically think through top level goals and processes while also working through the intricacies of execution
- A keen eye for details and data accuracy while also being able to see the big picture 
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and make decisive decisions

 COMPENSATION $265,000 - 280,000 base DOE *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
