OVERVIEW
This is an opportunity to join the fast paced and growing Lifestyle sales group at Morning Brew Inc; our Lifestyle Sales group is dedicated to building and growing our brand partnerships across our B2C advertisers and agency partners. We’re seeking a self-starter with a strong bias to action and proven success prospecting, pitching, closing and growing business relationships with both large/established and emerging brands. Experience selling social and content is also a major plus.  

Morning Brew Inc is the most engaging business media company in the world with over 20 owned and operated multimedia brands reaching a monthly audience of 350 Million+ cross platform with a focus on both consumer and professional content. We have been building our brand umbrella and product suite out for years, and now have a hugely diverse and successful products suite across newsletter, onsite, live and virtual events, podcast, video, creator and social. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying, nurturing and growing business relationships with executive-level decision makers within marketing, advertising or media teams at a wide range of B2C brands in both size and category. This candidate should be comfortable navigating complex marketing organizations and their agency partners while also prospecting key decision makers at smaller emerging brands alike. This individual should be able to balance an innate hunger for success with a strategic and consultative mindset. This candidate should also possess superior cross-functional skills and time management. 

This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily business experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.

Our positions are remote hybrid; however, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our Morning Brew HQ in NYC.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
- Hunting/Prospecting: The opportunities for partnerships with both large and small brands are endless – so we have to focus on the right opportunities. Our ideal candidate will have experience identifying, qualifying, and breaking into some of the world’s most renowned brands with the comfort and know-how to navigate large and complex org charts and multiple internal and external buying groups while quickly identifying if a brand is a fit for our offerings. 
- Value Selling/Pitching: This candidate will act as a trusted advisor to their partners, and bring a strategic and consultative mindset to their work, designing the most impactful, engaging, full-funnel media strategies across a growing suite of MBI brands and advertising products. 
- Building, nurturing, maintaining, growing your book of business: This candidate will have proven success both building and managing a book of business over a multi-year timeframe, including proven success at upselling, cross-selling and renewing/retaining business to align with business and partner objectives. 
- Operate as a company representative with clients in formal and informal settings, including IRL client entertainment, industry events and tentpoles, and ABR/QBRs
- Work collaboratively across teams of internal stakeholders (AM, Creative, Pricing/Packaging, Editorial, Product) to build best-in-class media plans that help our clients meet and exceed their goals and help our team meet and exceed our revenue goals. 
- Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and forecast data in our CRM, and proactively aggregate and share customer feedback with the leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience managing full-cycle media sales, ideally including at least 2-3 years experience focused on content and social
- Experience negotiating, closing and managing six- and seven-figure contracts with executive-level buyers and agencies
- Ability to track, forecast, and report on key pacing and performance metrics that will ensure you hit your goals and the entire team is successful
- Familiarity with digital advertising performance metrics, audience reach and engagement data, ad pricing metrics and other data points used externally throughout a sales process
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills – teamwork makes the dream work!
- Ambitious, resilient, and driven – this candidate should be a self-starter who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in order to accomplish our goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for Morning Brew Inc and its franchises, products, and audience strongly preferred

COMPENSATION $130,000- $152,000 base DOE + commission *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
