The Role:
Morning Consult is looking to hire a highly motivated and collaborative individual to join our Strategy team. In particular, the Strategy Analyst will be responsible for managing the operations for our syndicated brand tracking product (Morning Consult Brand Intelligence) and developing strategic recommendations for opportunities to enhance the offering.

Success in this role will require both an eagerness to create structured processes where they do not already exist as well as the attention to detail to implement those processes effectively. The ideal candidate for this role will be a quick learner who is interested in diving into the weeds on topics critical to the business and driving process improvements.

The Strategy Team at Morning Consult:
The Strategy team at Morning Consult is an interdisciplinary team that sits at the intersection of data strategy (collection and partnerships), go-to-market strategy and corporate development. We help envision and articulate Moring Consult’s future based on our evolving understanding of the competitive landscape, driving customer value and broader market dynamics. We then work with teams across Morning Consult in a variety of capacities to bring that future vision to fruition — from serving as operational glue, to data analysts, to strategic advisors.  

What You’ll Be Working On:

    • Supporting the Strategy team in assessing the strengths and weaknesses of Morning Consult's product suite and facilitating the implementation of process improvements, with a particular focus on our syndicated research and software capabilities
    • Managing internal processes to update and maintain our repository of brands tracked as part of our syndicated brand tracking tool (Morning Consult Brand Intelligence)
    • Keeping a finger on the pulse of the brand tracking industry: evaluating competitors, analyzing third-party data sources and staying up-to-date on relevant news
    • Tracking and measuring business outcomes by analyzing internal financials and other KPIs
    • Contributing to the research of competitors, potential partners, industry trends and the broader macro environment
    • Working effectively across various key stakeholder groups, including sales, customer success, product and engineering
    • Periodically presenting research findings and recommendations to senior leadership

About You and What You’ve Done:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
    • Internships in consulting, banking or other comparable roles preferred but not required
    • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong ability to conduct thorough desk research, specifically around market share and company-level KPIs
    • Highly organized, able to clearly document complex workflows and processes
    • Collaborative team player who is able to work across the company with various stakeholders
    • Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement

The expected salary range for this position is $57,800 - $88,800, with a midpoint of $73,300.

In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role.
