👨💻 About the Role
We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Production Coordinator to be a part of our expanding team in China! As we grow both steadily and swiftly, we're embarking on numerous new projects. For these ventures, we require an enthusiastic individual who can support the growing number of new projects and SKUs entering production. Our annual production volume is increasing dramatically. We're expanding our product range for iPhone and Samsung and for soft goods, we're focusing on B2B opportunities and product range growth. Additionally, we're increasing our retail presence and product range for Google, including higher demand for Gstore.
👋 About You
As a Senior Production Coordinator at Mous, you'll work collaboratively with our New Product Development (NPD) team, Engineering team, Quality team, and Production team. You will report directly to Leo Lai, our Production Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment, playing a crucial role in driving our projects to successful completion with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Production Management: Oversee daily production schedules to ensure they are completed on time while meeting quality standards. Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand or unexpected challenges, keeping production on track.
- Capacity Monitoring and Issue Escalation: Regularly review factory capacity to confirm that it can meet delivery timelines. Alert relevant teams if any potential issues arise, enabling proactive resolution and keeping operations moving smoothly.
- Cross-Departmental Issue Resolution: Coordinate with other teams to address and resolve any blocks in production, ensuring a timely response to issues that could impact production schedules.
- Quality Control Coordination: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to organise inspections at key production stages. Track and follow up on quality issues, making sure they do not hinder production timelines.
- Production Dashboard Management: Keep the production dashboard updated to reflect the latest status of all WIP items, providing accurate visibility into production progress.
- Vendor Communication and Coordination: Maintain regular contact with vendors, ensuring they provide timely updates on production progress. Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring they understand and comply with production management standards.
- Parts Allocation and Logistics Coordination: Update allocation lists and communicate with logistics to ensure the smooth transfer of parts between suppliers. Align production with shipment plans to meet delivery requirements.
- Payment Schedule Monitoring: Oversee payment schedules, ensuring timely payments to vendors and preventing delays in stock movement due to financial holds.
- Process Improvement Support: Identify immediate opportunities to enhance efficiency within the production management process, implementing quick fixes and improvements where possible. Support larger process optimisation efforts as directed by the Production Control Manager.
- Regular Reporting: Prepare and present routine reports on production performance, tracking key metrics and highlighting areas for improvement. Provide the Production Control Manager and stakeholders with clear insights into daily production outcomes.
How will success be measured?
- Build Strong Vendor and Supplier Relationships: As the coordinator is responsible for day-to-day vendor communication, establishing reliable and proactive relationships with key suppliers is essential in the first three months. This includes ensuring vendors understand production management standards and reporting expectations and aligning on schedules to prevent delays. Building rapport with suppliers and becoming a trusted point of contact will enable smoother communication, quicker resolution of issues and improved production flow.
- Establish Robust Daily Production Tracking and Reporting: The coordinator’s effectiveness depends on their ability to monitor and manage daily production schedules. In the first three months, the coordinator should focus on maintaining an accurate production dashboard that reflects all Work-in-Progress (WIP) items. This includes real-time tracking, ensuring regular updates from suppliers, and providing clear visibility to the Production Control Manager and other stakeholders. By maintaining consistent and detailed reporting, the coordinator will facilitate quick decision-making and support an organised, responsive production flow.
- Ensure Quality Control Integration at Key Stages: Quality control is a critical part of maintaining high production standards. In the first three months, the coordinator should work closely with the quality assurance team to understand inspection requirements and align on a schedule for quality checks. Implementing timely follow-ups on unresolved quality issues will help prevent delays and maintain product standards. Ensuring that the Quality Process and issues found have a minimal impact on production delivery times.
Hard Skills:
- Experience in Production Management: 5+ years of experience in mass production management, ideally within medium and large FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industries.
- Manufacturing and Quality Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and quality control processes, with the ability to ensure production aligns with established standards.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues in the production process and propose practical, innovative solutions to maintain flow and quality.
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: High level of competency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including the ability to create detailed reports and presentations.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in reading, writing, and spoken English and
- Language Fluency: Fluent in Mandarin; Cantonese is a bonus.
- Basic Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyse production and quality data, supporting informed adjustments to processes and identification of trends and areas for improvement.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management Knowledge: Basic understanding of inventory management principles, which aids in coordinating with logistics and supply chain partners to streamline production.

- Time Management: Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet tight production schedules.
- Emotional Control: Ability to manage stress and maintain composure during high-pressure situations, ensuring consistent performance and effective communication.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards in all aspects of production management.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing production needs and requirements, including schedule adjustments and process changes.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong interpersonal skills for effectively managing and resolving conflicts with suppliers, team members, or cross-functional partners, promoting smooth operations and team collaboration.
- Project Management Knowledge: Familiarity with project management principles, aiding in coordination of production timelines, vendor schedules, and resource allocation.
Nice to have skills:
- ERP and MRP System Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to support efficient production scheduling, inventory, and resource allocation.
- Dashboard Management: Experience with production dashboard systems (Power Bi), providing accurate visibility into WIP (Work-in-Progress) items and overall production status.
- Quality Improvement Methodologies: Exposure to methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement, which would enhance process optimisation efforts and support quality standards.
- Direct experience in Tech Accessories category.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to Travel: Ability and willingness to travel overseas as required for supplier visits, quality inspections, or production site support.
