As Supply Chain Manager at Mujin, you will execute strategic sourcing for product solutions and deployments, as well as project specific procurement demands. You will be developing standard bidding and procurement processes within the organization. This role plays a critical part in the development, execution, and growth of the supply chain strategy, as well as the optimization of supplier costs, quality, delivery, and reliability.  

Responsibilities:

    • Conduct strategic sourcing for all components required for industrial robot cells, encompassing end effectors, cameras, vision systems, lighting, pneumatics, robot controllers, and peripheral material handling equipment  
    • Project specific procurement tasks in close coordination with project management and technical engineers 
    • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and equipment to support the technical requirements for both projects and strategic development initiatives 
    • Collaborate with technical engineers and product developers to understand the specifications and requirements related to project demands or strategic developments.  
    • Maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers and partners regarding cost reduction initiatives and improvement of the collaborations 
    • Supply chain management to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery 
    • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, providing key feedback on supplier schedules and material availability, while effectively managing any project deviations  
    • Proactively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to provide an effective supply chain 
    • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and optimization 
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies 
    • Manage procurement processes and ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and products 
    • Resolve any issues or problems that arise in the supply chain, such as delays, damages, quality problems or shortages 
    • Prepare and present reports and statistics on supply chain activities, costs, and outcomes  
    • Continuously explore and implement innovative management methods to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency 
    • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction by consistently meeting commitments for each project 

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business administration or a related field 
    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience 
    • Possess a positive attitude and thrive in an environment of rapid change 
    • Exhibit natural curiosity, logical thinking, and exceptional observational skills in the workplace  
    • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management best practices 
    • Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers  
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year, as required by project demands, to achieve the best outcome and engage with partners 

Preferred:

    • Automation industry and warehouse experience in logistics or manufacturing  
    • Proficient in forming master purchase agreements with suppliers and formalizing supplier relationships
