The Senior Technical Recruiter will play a key role in talent prospecting, talent evaluation and screening, job advertising and posting, and talent staffing and planning. This role is crucial in attracting and hiring skilled professionals for IT positions within an organization. Your focus will be working with leaders to expedite placement, reduce time-to-fill, and ensure we attract top talent. This role may also support other roles as needed within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Works with hiring managers to determine job requirements and ideal candidate profiles
- Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities
- Creating and publishing job ads on various networks
- Source potential candidates on niche platforms
- Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes
- Screening resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates
- Conducting initial phone screens to assess candidates’ technical and cultural fit
- Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions)
- Coordinate with hiring managers and technical leads to schedule interviews
- Collect feedback from interviewers and guide the decision-making process
- Handling job offer discussions with selected candidates
- Maintain candidate database and prepare recruitment reports
- Coordinate with IT team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs
- Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
- May participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals
- Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 or more years of relevant experience or 8+ years relevant experience
- Adequate understanding of technical concepts and stacks
- Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) software proficiency
- Knowledge of sourcing techniques
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of HR functions and relevant labor laws
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Travel Requirement: Less than 5%, domestically
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work extended hours as required
