The Role:
The Graphic Designer will be a key stakeholder in shaping the brand's creative communications alongside the Art Director and wider Creative Studio team. Tasked with leading medium and large scale design projects from brief through to delivery, the Graphic Designer will work closely with many departments across the business to develop and execute strategically astute creative solutions to meet business objectives as well as with the Visual Merchandising and Film and Photography teams to support Mulberry's seamless creative experience across all channels.
- The Graphic Designer will play a key part in refining, evolving and defining brand guidelines and building iconography and brand signatures across a variety of media.
- The position will be required to present solutions to briefs that meet the brand strategy, both commercially and creatively.
- The designer must be highly creative and able to take hold of a project from the initial concept stage and expand it though a true 360 degree spectrum with a strong understanding of the business context.
- The Graphic Designer will work with external suppliers, writing briefs, working to budgets, developing solutions and ensuring final products meet the required quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Concept, Strategy & Research:
- Meet with the briefing stakeholders and establish key project objectives.
- Concept creative approaches that reflect the brand positioning, are practically achievable and are strategically appropriate.
- Propose original routes that are informed by thorough research.
- Manage workload and ensure timely delivery of all projects meeting all sign-off points and flagging potential risks and delays to the Image Project Manager.
Design & Develop:
- Design engaging, original, functional solutions that align to and enhance the brand's design identity.
- Develop products across multiple media with external suppliers and creative partners from prototyping through to final delivery.
Execute & Implement:
- Work closely with external suppliers, internal stakeholders and the Image Project Manager to ensure final products meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time.
Evaluate & Review:
- Review the successes and failures of all projects from all perspectives. Seek feedback and performance data from the originator of the brief and apply learnings to future projects.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Substantial experience of communicating a brand across multiple channels.
- A good understanding of the fashion and retail sectors.
- Analytical skills and an ability to strategise medium and long term design solutions composed of multiple stages.
- Expertise in design with a strength in research.
- Expert working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite programmes.
- A broad perspective with an ability to conceive and develop design for 360° application. An appreciation for three dimensional space and a talent for spatial design.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- An ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude.
- A strong sense of team with the capacity to be flexible and practical as well as collaborative.
