The Role:
You are responsible for maintaining and elevating visual merchandising of our Mulberry stores across South Korea. You will also work collaboratively with the Global Visual Merchandising Manager and local teams to create excellent visual standards, ensuring a consistent and coherent brand image.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creative:
− Manage and implement a structured visual merchandising calendar based on window changes, merchandise delivery drops and press/marketing installation events for markets.
− Create and present imaginative and effective visual merchandising stories that are in line with the seasonal design and commercial needs of the business and facilitate effective implementation in alignment with VM and Product strategy.
− Adapting VM directive to create areas of theatre installations in all visual display areas that are in line with the product calendar.
− Work closely with Global Visual Merchandising Manager to understand VM strategy, VM standards across Full Price and Off Price network (including seasonal buy strategy and key performance drivers)
− Partner with Global Visual Merchandising Manager to support VM Markdown guidelines.
− Bring new visual merchandising ideas or creative voice of South Korea to Global VM Manager and Director of Product.
− Responsible for communications with Retail Manager and store teams in the selected countries to ensure knowledge and guidelines are cascaded and following up with VM reports back to Global VM team.
Events:
− Collaborate with HQ Marketing/Commercial/Product and local marketing teams to bring synergy on creative for all regional events (store events, brand events, commercial pop ups, store openings or closures, any show, Press days).
− Be an integral part of the launch process from planning to delivery.
− Responsible for the creation and management of effective displays for marketing events.
− Communicate with suppliers on order for events/budget and liaising with HQ relevant teams (Marketing, Image, VM and Store concept).
− Support seasonal changes and work with Country Manager on installation, including sourcing prop suppliers and merchandising.
Training:
− Leverage the materials/resources in HQ and work with Global Visual Merchandising Manager to establish VM principles, create monthly store layout and deliver regular training/update to optimize local retail opportunities and meet specific market needs (e.g. push items, special events, promotions, festivals).
− Liaise with Retail Manager and Country Manager, identify stores that require support for VM training sessions including the visual standards and techniques.
Operations & Communications:
− Partner with Retail Manager in managing all POS usage and branding at stores across the markets.
− Deliver and control window props and VM stock.
− Act as a key contact between HQ and the Region. Develop a strong and effective cross-functional network of relationships with both HQ and the Region.
− Consolidate the output, report/provide updates on successes and challenges of the Region, flagging any opportunities and risks with Line Manager or Global Visual Merchandising Manager in a timely manner.
− Collaborate closely with HQ team, Retail Manager, Country Managers and key stakeholders to understand business and market requirements.
− May take part in projects, providing hindsight and recommendations for the Region.

− Regular store visits within the based location are essential

Skills and Experience Required:
− Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a least four years of relevant experience within luxury retail brands environment. Knowledge of other APAC markets is an advantage.
− Proactive, creative and innovative thinking producing sustainable solutions.
− Independent while also a team player.
− Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to impart detailed information in a clear and straightforward manner across a range of audiences and stakeholders.
− Well organized and efficient with strong planning capabilities.
− Ability to work in fast paced retail & dynamic environment with multiple or competing deadlines.
− Proficient in English (reading, writing and speaking) is a must.
− Willing to have local market travel and occasional business travel on request.
