Position:

We are looking for an IT Specialist who is passionate about technology and keen on helping others to join our System Team.
As part of our team, you will work closely with the IT Manager and collaborate with talented professionals to provide exceptional technical support and assistance to our employees.
You will be in charge of troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing maintenance, and assisting with system upgrades and installations.

What you will do:

Provide first-line response and support to requests for technical assistance via Slack, email, or Help Desk management system (Jira Service Management) in a timely and efficient manner;
Track issues to resolution, updating the internal knowledge base and communicating the findings with relevant teams;
Escalate more involved problems to the appropriate higher-level Support Teams; Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, network, and peripherals;
Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems;
Collaborate with other IT staff to implement new systems and technologies;
Develop and maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures;Provide support for IT-related projects;
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and systems;
Train and assist users with hardware and software applications;
Assist new joiners with the IT onboarding process.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience;
3+ years of experience in IT support or related field;
Solid understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Google Workspace, and other commonly used SaaS applications (Slack, Zoom, 1Password, Jira, etc.);
Experience with network infrastructure and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Good knowledge of the best practices of cybersecurity;
You are curious and eager to learn, grow, and help others while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude;
You like to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend new solutions to enhance the company's IT infrastructure;
You are organized, precise, and punctual;
You are pragmatic, and understand that speed is often as important as quality when getting things done;
You are resourceful and own the proposed solutions;
Fluency in English;
Located in Bologna or able to work on-site when required.


Nice to have:

Experience with ITIL framework and ITSM tools;
Experience with Active Directory and network infrastructures (including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points);
Experience with pfSense and/or other network appliances;
Experience with MDM solutions (Microsoft Intune, Jamf, etc.);
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
