Position:
As a Junior Financial Analyst at Musixmatch, you will support the Royalty Squad in managing royalty-related financial processes and ensuring data accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable reporting and gain exposure to strategic finance initiatives, including corporate development, potential M&A, and executive-level reporting. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong analytical skills while contributing to both operational and strategic projects.
What you will do:
Assist in interpreting licensing agreements and translating them into royalty accruals, invoices, and reporting.
Contribute to the maintenance of royalty reporting systems, working with Data, Product, Finance and Engineering teams.
Help prepare royalty distribution models for publishers, DSPs, and other stakeholders.
Assist in developing financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis under the guidance of senior analysts.
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Contribute to the preparation of reports for senior leadership.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of royalty management and reporting.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, audit, consulting, or corporate finance, preferably within a Big 4 or top-tier advisory firm.
Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and quantitative skills.
Good understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and valuation concepts.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with BI tools or ERP systems is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
