About This Role
SCAN Group and myPlace Health are seeking a strategic finance leader to drive the financial strategy behind our mission to help older adults live well and age in place. This role blends analytical excellence with purpose-driven impact, ensuring every financial decision advances our vision of reimagining care for older adults.
You’ll serve as a trusted partner to leadership—translating financial insights into clear strategies, guiding budgeting and forecasting, and shaping the models that support growth across markets. Beyond analysis, you’ll build the financial infrastructure that enables smart decisions, efficient operations, and long-term sustainability.
We’re looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking finance professional who thrives on turning data into direction. If you’re inspired by SCAN’s mission and eager to connect financial strategy to meaningful outcomes, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact.
You Will:
- Build and optimize FP&A infrastructure: Develop and implement scalable financial planning and analysis tools, models, processes, and policies that empower leaders across all markets and functions.
- Own financial performance tracking: Lead a disciplined process for reporting and analyzing actuals versus budget, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial results.
- Drive strategic insights: Lead ad hoc finance projects that uncover key performance drivers within our business and care models, enabling data-informed decision-making at every level.
- Translate data into impact: Prepare clear and compelling financial reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate key insights and trends to senior stakeholders.
- Shape long-term growth: Partner closely with organizational leaders to develop sustainable financial strategies and multi-year business plans that align with company goals.
- Foster cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with departments across the enterprise to ensure financial strategies complement and strengthen overall business objectives.
- Strengthen financial governance: Help establish and maintain internal controls related to FP&A to promote accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Champion innovation and curiosity: Embrace new technologies—including AI—to enhance analytical capabilities and transform how we operate and serve our members.
- Advance our mission: Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s broader vision, goals, and commitment to improving the lives of those we serve.
- And other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3–5 years of related experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Financial Expertise: Background in finance, accounting, or corporate finance within venture-backed startups, private equity, investment banking, or other high-growth environments.
- Healthcare Acumen: Understanding of health plan and provider financial flows and regulatory frameworks, especially within Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care.
- Analytical Strength: Proven ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis to address complex business challenges.
- Modeling Mastery: Skilled in developing, auditing, and adapting financial models in Excel with accuracy and confidence.
- Independent Leadership: Self-starter who can tackle complex issues with minimal direction while knowing when to escalate for alignment or support.
- Builder’s Mindset: Prior experience creating or scaling an FP&A function in a dynamic healthcare organization is highly preferred.
$125,400 - $200,000 a year
