Responsibilities

    • Accountable for creation and implementation of designed experiments related to mycelia harvesting, post processing and tanning
    • Leads the downstream development team through transformational understanding, process development and customer recipe development for finished sheets   
    • Will manage downstream process development team members who execute, analyze and report on the results of designed experiments  
    • Leads strategic initiatives to drive downstream process development
    • Will lead key partnerships with external labs, technical partners and tannery partners in development of customer recipes and transformational understanding
    • Supports analytical and material methods development
    • Communicates results of experimental and process design work process cross functionally to support Mycoway implementation
    • Tracks appropriate development KPI’s
    • Works with operations to enable full scale transfer of knowledge through OPL’s to improve plant operational understanding and meet glidepath improvement 
    • Supervision of downstream process development team members including scientists, technicians and other support personnel
    • Helps drive company vision and initiatives within Process Development
    • Assist in development of strategic and tactical goals
    • Develop actions and strategies to meet goals
    • Evaluates progress
    • Reports on progress to other teams and leadership
    • Support further development of Process Development function within the company 
    • Develop strategic team initiatives and targets
    • Create technical progression plans for junior team members
    • Aid in creation of process development organization, design of experiment and analysis coaching, technical advancement & training
    • Facilitate team development through training and additional responsibilities / ownership 
    • 8+ years of experience of similar work experience required
    • 5-7 years of management experience in a similar role required
