About the role
Our Enterprise and Practice (E&P) line of business delivers a business management platform for our larger customers, including ERP, payroll, practice management, and compliance. As a Software Architect in Enterprise and Practice, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to facilitate and guide the development of high-quality solutions. You will build capabilities that are fit for purpose utilising the numerous resources available in the function and across the business. You will encourage and mentor developers while giving Product Managers and business partners a voice, bringing the two worlds together to build awesome high-quality business outcomes.

What will you be doing
In joining the E&P team at MYOB you will be working across multiple delivery teams and be a driving force of the technical architecture, design and quality standards. You will work with product and engineering leaders to develop technology strategy and roadmaps, evaluate solutions, and guide implementation into our customers hands.
As part of the MYOB architecture team, you'll join forces to help drive our technology strategy across the whole business. You will also contribute to crafting an outstanding team culture by role modelling a collaborative approach to working with team members, offering leadership, support, mentoring and guidance.

The skills you'll need
List the skills and experience needed for this roles
- Proven experience as a Software Architect/Developer/Engineer working in a team environment, with multiple years in an agile, complex environment.
- Have extensive experience simplifying sophisticated systems/problems and making them easier to modify, extend and scale as well as cheaper to run. You can guide others on how to do this.
- Extensive experience in business and systems analysis, architecture and design with techniques including DDD, workshop facilitation, brainstorming, use case modelling, data modelling, business process modelling, functional decomposition etc.
- Comprehensive experience with, and a passion for implementing good engineering practices including TDD, Continuous Delivery, deployment automation, observability, good modular design, and clean code.
- Well-developed people leadership skills. Previous experience mentoring and coaching staff on technical issues.
- Experience with a wide range of software development languages and tools.
- Proven understanding or experience deploying cloud-based solutions utilising known good practice for scalability, resilience and recovery.
- Passion for solving business problems with technology.
- Experience in data-driven decision making.
