Responsibilities: As an Engineering Manager at MYOB, you’ll be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities to ensure our engineering team operates at the highest level. You will:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, encouraging an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Determine project goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring they are met with precision.
- Coordinate the successful implementation of engineering projects, maintaining our world-class standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Ability to navigate and maintain legacy systems while driving forward pathways for modernisation.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges swiftly to maintain project momentum.
- Support standard processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements: To successfully compete for the Engineering Manager role, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
- Outstanding understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Strong background in software development and project management.
- Ability to lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and determine priorities effectively.
- A degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with the latest industry trends and technologies.
